Introduction
Washington state is located in the pacific northwest, and it borders canada to the north and oregon to the south. It was named after washing george washington, the first president of the united states. Seattle sits on the puget sound, with water and islands to the west and a stunning sky when you're facing east. There are a number of mountain ranges with scenic hiking trails, from olympic national park to the north cascades region.
