I didn't even take it as like, oh, this is a colleague appreciating another colleague. I thought of his more like when he showed up at those people's wedding and he crashed one of their photos. You felt like he was doing a kindness to a stranger. Do you think you ever went back and reread it? No, it's not the kind of thing you reread. In a weird way, would it make you feel worse if you found out he reads it every day? It would be too much.
