When I was a teenager, I got into Pinchon from the like straight literary side. It's just weird to me to think people reading him from an angle of pure aesthetics or something. David Foster Wallace is not a political writer. He never was. And so you can do a completely like a political reading of Pinchon and have a good time. But it's just you will also miss so much.
