Zack: In many ways, i think it's the background of my family and a larger segment of the of the black community. I don't think it often comes up when we talk about these dynamics that are so critical. My great grandfather was enslaved in caroline county, virginia, and learned to read while enslaved. And i just started thinking about the kind of hope, the kind of vision it took to believe that one day you're going to be free.
