How the New York Times Is Hedging Their Bets on the Brazilian Press

The New York Times is using its traditional double standard of going soft on right wing extremists, while portraying leftist Latin American governments as authoritarian. How do you think readers understand the right and the left when they are seen by the New York Times? The right at worst they're extremists, while the left is authoritarian. I've had to like unfriend some people on Facebook because they were just like attacking me for saying nice things about Cuba. So I think that it just generates confusion. And what this does is it weakens solidarity with other leftists or progressives or union people around Latin America.
