The Rise and Fall of the Egyptian New Kingdoms
The 19th dynasty ended with the death of Queen Twasret in 1186 BCE. A new pharaoh emerged called Cyptnacta, who would establish a new 20th dynasty. Ramesses the third took over as Pharaoh and fought back against foreign invasion. The late Bronze Age collapse may have been responsible for Egypt's decline.
