I'm analogued for as long as possible, from the source to turning it into a number. Then once it's a number, i never leave,. If it's going to get compressed, it gets compressed as i make the record. I've done shoot outs with all the weird outboard bussing, sama, an satellite connected, blue tooth, whatever. It's all crapp to me. Only i do it in approaches rig and you can make fine adjustments later. But leaving the box has never sounded better than staying in the box to med. Make your record, right? The first time.
