Is Cassow a Nazi?

There was a moment where I was sympathizing with him when he was with his mom. He's just got one desire. I want to crush this vermin of Cassian Andor. Why is he stuck on? Because there's something that I think about Cassow that irks him. There's certain little indications of this that really irk him, and they're brought out in interesting ways in the mother scene.
