The Man in the Hat

Back when I was a student, I worked in this tiny cinema in London Soho district. One of the things it was most famous for was showing these hardcore ultra-violent Japanese anime films. These are kind of like the Ovas, that's manga jargon for original video animation and have been straight up banned in certain countries because of how violent and obscene they were. The point is, they weren't easy to get their hands on, especially with English dubbing or English subtitles. So when we announced the showing of something particularly gruesome, you could bet we'd get bums on seats for weeks on end.
