CNN's John Defterios sat down with the author to talk about his new book, "Mysterious Places" The story of Powder Mountain began in 2012 when it was bought by a group of investors. They were looking for an opportunity to build their dream ski resort on top of one of North America's biggest mountains. It took them three and a half years to buy the mountain because they couldn't get financing at the time.
