Zionism and Jewish Identity in Historical Context

This chapter examines the historical roots of Zionism and its interplay with Jewish revolutionary movements in Russia, highlighting tensions between Zionists and communists. It focuses on the ideological evolution of left-wing Zionist parties and their debates on identity and agriculture, especially post-1948. Additionally, the chapter discusses contemporary implications of Jewish nationalism in Ukraine, particularly under the leadership of Zelensky.
