The Importance of Plant Behavior

Dr calvo points out that considering the possibility of intelligent plant behavior challenges deeply ingrained assumptions that humans are special. The most obvious argument against plant intelligence is that they lack neurons but action potentials or voltage spikes can actually be measured in plant cells. Some species of plants can predict where the sun is going to be and it's interesting to note that not all plants can do this just the ones that are highly dependent on the amount of sunlight that they receive.
