Toy Story 3 and Coco, the Shining and Sound Effects
I always got a kick out of hiding Easter eggs in my films from The Shining. There are quite a few in Toy Story 3 and Coco. Stanley's use of music and sound effects designed to elicit unsettling feelings have been something that I've tapped into. In Finding Nemo, when you see that moment and you hear those kind of creepy sounds, that's definitely directly influenced by Kubrick. Do you think you would feel the same way about this film if you had seen it for the first time as an adult?
