The Growth of Social Spending Over the Last 50 Years
On average, on average, it's been growing at about 4.5% a year for the past 50 years - faster than inflation. There have been years that we've spent less. You get an actual cut in defense spending. But generally social spending has been rising and been rising on average at about 10% per year.
