The Impossible Cry of an Infant
In 1926, Izzy is on an island and hears Tom yelling to her that a boat is on the beach. He sees someone in it, but the man is slumped over. So Tom jostles the man and determines that he's dead. And what's inside is a screaming infant. Shocked, Izzy tells Tom to give her the baby. She assesses and cuddles the baby while Tom assesses the man and confirms he's died. But she convinces him to hold off on signaling about the boat, the dead man and the baby. It'll take hours for them to get there; so Izzy says, believe it a while,. Let's just wait.
