Standard Libraries and Supply Chain Improvements

The only downside i've ever seen to standard libraries is that they tend to lock in, right? So if you want the new features, you actually have to go pull it in yourself. There's huge upsides to moving these common things into standard library. If it's part of a standard library, you can pretty much assume that it's been vettedn in any safe compared to some of the libraries that people are now down loading from n p m.
