Is a Dog Conscious?
I think a biogenesis will be possible at some point. And what it will create will be conscious, and that will then be artificial conscious consciousness. But that's not a simulation. It's not an emulation. You're actually creating life. And i think life is the extrinsic appearance of conscious iner inner life. I don't think any of those categorizations give you a the debate between materialism and dualism as it was traditionally conceived. So i'd rather try and give up on those those debates, and keep the classifications which are real and obvious to us.
