The Metaphysical Perspective of Mao

Mao says changes to things happen from internal contradictions within them, not simply external forces being applied on them. Mao also notes that the bourgeois as they began to develop within China imported the European philosophy of metaphysics back into the country. The October Revolution opened the possibility for other revolutions around the world when the Bolsheviks took power and showed that it was possible. And yet the external cause of the Bolshevik Revolution is not what caused revolution within China. It was the class contradictions inside Chinese society which were necessary for that revolution to occur.
