Common Beginner Mistakes With React
The most common questions I get with the maybe the exception is use effect and all the gotchas that come along with that. Most of them are things that I imagine are unsurprising to people who have some react experience. Things like forgetting to put a key when you're mapping over an array, trying to understand why if you call a state setter function, why the state hasn't immediately changed in the next line of code. It's the little gotchas like that. So it was actually tricky for me because I wanted to explain not just here's the problem and here's a band day to fix it, but let's understand why this is happening.
