How I Decided to Come to the United States
I did not feel safe in Iraq because of my beliefs. When I was in Iraq, everybody else was born to the same religion as their parents. My beliefs changed. And then I was not directly threatened because I've never shared my beliefs with people. So that's why I chose the United States. Besides, I have worked with Americans. I have studied at the American University. I thought that I would be a better fit here.
