The Insurrection and the Black Death in the United States
The first black senator from the state of georgia was elected. You had the first black jewish senator, also in the state of Georgia. And so, you know, when i think about the back lash, the racial, violent back lash that happens in reconstruction during the end of the nineteenth century as a result of black suffrage and black people being able to vote. That's tens of thousands of people that are dying at the hands of mobs,. all because of, again, not black power, but black political influence.
