So to Speak: The Free Speech Podcast

CHAPTER

Is There a Public Versus Private Threat to Freedom?

In the case of Donald Trump and some other speakers, they simply are banned from Twitter or from Facebook entirely. To my mind, that's no different from Fox News or to New York Times saying, we don't want Ilya Soaman ever appearing in our website or our network because we think his views are totally awful. That is itself the exercise of freedom. The government is much more likely to come in and suppress those few places without unpopular opinion can still be expressed than try to help the unpopular opinion get a foothold.
