Is Diffusion a New Way of Generating Humans?

A lot of people online have been playing with these image generators and the people will talk about diffusion or stable diffusion. What diffusion actually is, is a different way of recreating an image. It's really fascinating to me because what it does is every, every image that it has looked at gets essentially degraded into digital noise. And then it examines the patterns of degradation of that image as information is stripped away in order to reverse that process and put information back in following the kind of weights that we saw with GANS. Fascinating.
