The History of Roman Catholicism

By the time Augustine died in the summer of 430, Roman Catholicism was finally nearing what it would remain through much of the Middle Ages. I want to spend the last few minutes of this show considering some of the cogs and wheels of the finished religion as the last generation of Romans in the Western Empire were born and came of age. We will, before too long, be leaving Christian theology behind together as we move into the tail end of late antiquity and toward 6th century Gallic history and soon afterward Beowulfand.
