How Many Books Do You Read a Year?

The most recent Gallup study found that the current median for American adults is five books. About half of the American population reads less than five books a year and about half of the population reads more than 5 books a year. So on the one hand, this means that people are still reading. It's not as though we've given up reading books, but it does seem as though people are not readers. But reading less, reading has become less a part of our everyday life.
