The Effects of Hypnosis on the Ability to Write the Book of Mormon

Joseph Smith may have had disassociative identity disorder. That's just not consistent with any mental illness we're familiar with today. Another one that comes up often is automatic writing. The Joseph Smith would shift into some sort of hypnotic state and that would cause him to dictate it. And again, hypnosis isn't consistent with anybody that was there when the book of Mormon was translated.
