The Motivation to Create Always Encrypted

Always Encrypted is an AMD Epic CPU or virtual CPU using a technological SEVSMP. It's actually pretty cool stuff. Intel are just released something very similar as well, and we're looking at that. So if you look at the motivation to create Always Encrypted was to protect your data from malicious DBAs or people that cannot see your data. But on the other hand, it gives you quite some limitations.
