Don't Read Tone in a Message on Slack

The amount of information you can transmit to another person in just text is abysmal, right? 7% of your meaning and tone and all that comes through text. And so there's a responsibility on the reader and the writer of, hey, if this is lighthearted, you can use emojis and you can throw LOLs. If it needs to be serious, you can make it serious. Do everything you get not to read tone. Also, do everything you can to write tone because it's a two way street to be as clear as you possibly can on your side of it.
