The Tension Within the Scientific Community About Assisted Evolution
As science adds to our knowledge of the working world, new technologies are possible. Businesses have developed methods to suck carbon out of the air and inject it deep into the earth. Can we do it on a scale that could even come close to having a significant impact? I don't know. So I'm not necessarily opposed to virtually all technological engineering solutions. But there have been so many attempts at technological fixes which have just created downstream, more complex, more indirect, more serious problems. It just gives me serious pause.
