Are Stereotypes a Bad Thing?

In a recent paper, you talked about whether or not something is salient. I also liked this evolutionary sort of story that you gavefo how people could evolve to rely on social groups. So categorization is really important because our world is super complex. If you live in a very hoban environment, for instance, you might see 200 different faces a day. But then people tend to default a certain set of social groups that are chnonical. And you've sedove given an explanation for that. Some historical context of the country could lead to that.
