In the early 90s, 1993 by Roman and colleagues measured the thermic effect of feeding response to an isochalloric meal. And this was based a potential explanation related to Teth. This was based on research that showed a diurnal variation. Diurnal simply meaning time of day related. So a variation related to time of day in Teth responses depending on the time they were measured at.
