The Border Between Persia and Rome

This week's map shows the Persian border in more detail. The cities which Kavad attacked can all be seen here. If you look at the southern border, the red dotted line follows a minor river between the Euphrates and the Tigris before reaching Armenia in the north. I'm afraid the rest of the empire's neighbours are a complicated bunch but they will play important roles in the history of Byzantium.
