Understanding Genre in the Old Testament
Historical narrative in the Old Testament, we come to it with the wrong set of assumptions. We're looking for the narrator to tell us what to think about things. Yet if we had a better understanding of the cultural context or even just the way that these stories are written, we would understand them more easily.
