I think what really struck me in reading newspaper coverage of new debut was the recurring idea that it was a movement that made no demands and had nothing to say. So I wanted to think about that perception of me to be silent, not just as a kind of bad faith refusal to engage but as a problem for how you how you do street politics. There's passage in stand up to futures book Twitter and tear gas where she talks about how kind of in the olden days a elements are already in repressive governments when they didn't like decision speech would sensor it in trying silence it. But Tufakshi writes that modern day repressive governments have learned the lesson that you don't need to silence
