The Antichrist's View of Annihilation
In the early church, people like Barnabas, Hermas, Erenaeus is probably the most famous one. And we think Justin Martyr may have also embraced this view. So in summary, annihilation is believed that because only God is eternal, those who are in Christ will receive eternal life. Those without Christ will be consumed in the fire of judgment after they have suffered for a period of time and cease to exist. In universal reconciliation, it's not that no one passes through any sort of fire or judgment. The fire is just a metaphor.
