Is Fraction Reserve Banking a Bad Idea?
A lot of Austrians want to do the second approach, they want to say fraction reserve banking when it comes to checking account balances is seriously problematic. Maybe banks should watch out so they end up sounding like Belgian and white on the broader question of maturity mismatch but sound like Rothbard with checking account balances. So it's just kind of interesting and it's good to go through that debate to really refine your intuition and see what we see.
