I don't know why that barbell exercises in particular, because, you know, like in the real world, you don't do a bench. So with a barbell on your back, so they get this idea perhaps that doing those exercises or you're doing is you're building muscle for show. But when you do these sort of silly functional fitness exercises, you can't progress. And it's much better to do something rather than nothing.
