Y2K was an idea that when everything, when the year 2000 hit, there's something that had to do with the clocks. My dad believed a lot of this and I don't think it was just calculating this and making it up. Fear is a great leverage for someone who wants to be an authority. It's like why someone commits a homicide: They want power or they want money. With my dad, it wasn't really money. It would have been the other two.
