I'm happy to be getting some conversation, particularly on the center left, but I know I'm really pleased by conservative friends. A lot of conservatives were warning in the 1970s that if feminism succeeded and women achieved economic independence, that would be very bad news for society. The problem is, and even Christina did this in her earlier work, is there's a sense of we have to go back to go forward. And so what that does mean is that the question of what about the man, what are men for, is not just a joke anymore. It's a real question.
