The Bird Versus the Humans - Is There a Difference?
Birds have absolute pitch, humans use relative. What's the difference between those two? We recognize a signal with all its harmonics by its fundamental frequency or some other promise of that. But we don't even hear if a melody was played higher or lower, it jus the same song. It seems that relative pitch gradually takes over if weare getting older in infancy. I'm working now on rif, on that together with e colic a, carlton cate and there's very little evidence at the moment that birds or other or mammals, that' two groups av we focus on different pitches.
