Do you think someone needs a coach in order to be world class or like great? I think they're going to have lots of coaches. It's always important to have one person who is your teacher, or stages. Otherwise you've got nothing to really look up to or learn. And it doesn't always have to be a person. Sometimes it can be like a philosophy or something like that.
Finding the key commonalities behind what makes an individual thrive in a given circumstance while others may crumble has been an obsession of mine over time. I've been fascinated by finding out what separates the greats from everybody else.
Are they smarter?
More educated?
Do they work harder?
Do they wake up early?
Do they read a lot?
A lot of the time in the past I've believed that I've found the thing that makes people so successful, but then later realize it wasn't.
However, recently I've observed that there is ONE THING in common in every single instance.
