The Importance of Understanding Procedural Knowledge
PJ DM is an acronym for declarative and procedural knowledge. The idea that people can do what and how but if they don't understand why it's very hard to reflect on something. This has lots of implications for novice coaches who are working with ranked novices rather than rank adults. Andy says the best chefs are the ones just like coaches just like doctors just like any of the ones who want to know why does this happen the way it does.
