Odysseus and the Sea

In Greek mythology, this kind of behavior is known as hubris. Odysseus had been at sea for 18 days and was starting to give up hope that he was going to ever make it home. With one wave of his trident, the god of the sea sent a huge storm down upon the unsuspecting king Navitika. In seconds, the tiny raft was destroyed. And Odysseu was plunged into the cold water, eventually left half alive.
