MRI - What's the Difference Between Physiology and MRI?
MRI is still discovering what, you know, the interplay between physiology and what MRI can see. One of the coolest papers I saw in 2021 was a beautiful experiment where you're looking at temporal resolution by stimulating cortical or subcortical areas with optogenetics to look at that direction flow down to sub cortex. But then you're able to see temporal differences between these subcortial areas that change direction, depending on which end you're simulating from. It sort of opens up the idea that you can look at directional information flow if you do it right without an eye. There's two more papers I want to talk about, then we'll get on to other things.
