The Sumerian Discoveries
A cylinder with a cuniform inscription on it was found in 19 28. It contained the name of a sumerian queen, who is thought to have been buried there. The language and meaning behind these signs are now much better understood. This remains something of a mystery - but we do know that this woman had an extraordinary jewellery collection as part of her burial rituals.
