Long Term Investing

People tend to make irrational decisions based on short term volatility. That is what ultimately becomes the bane of poor performance. You don't have to venture out into crazy, high risk speculative areas at all. Buying fun index funds or a basic mutual fund may be adding dollar cost by adding that value over time. But going out and just picking, you know, crazy stuff to try to yolo your money? I would never do that.
