The New York Times, a Front Page for the Last One Hundred Years, Is a Picture of Progress and Achievement

The emotional tone of stories in the new york times, and, for that matter, press outlets world wide, has declined over the last seventy five years. So what explains the decline? Part of it is that the journalism has become more efficient and conscientious at reporting events on the other side of the world. There's also a change in attitude and mind set.
