Are We Going to Collide With Another Galaxy?

The accretion disks around supermassive black holes do all sorts of weird things. Sometimes they produce little hiccups of brightness and dimming that looks like a per ic signal, and then turns out to be nothing. And that could be happening here, we don't know. Just a burp from a particularly difficult star to eat, or something like that. Exactly a bit of ind galactic indigestion. But that's why they want to do some more observations, because if still continuing on the same pattern, that would add certainty to it. They had to pause theirse s for a while.
