Reddit's Dark Subreddits
More than 7,000 communities or subreddits on the discussion platform Reddit are going dark. It's happening because of controversial changes that the owner of Reddit is introducing which many of the people who administer these groups are very unhappy about. The owners want to raise the cost of it what it calls API that's the bit of code that makes it possible for third party apps to work. Now moderators are working together in solidarity with those developers and they're setting their subreddit to private.
