Writers feel as though they are being asked to work more to get paid less. Most of those new shows have shorter seasons, so the number of episodes has not gone up as much and writers do get paid extra money or a considerable amount of money if they actually get credited on an episode. So that's a big deal. Even though the seasons are shorter, they are often asked to work as much. And so there are often times again doing, you know, as much, if not more work than they did before, often getting paid less.
